Introducing Brusletto: Norway's Knifemaking Heritage Arrives in Australia & New Zealand

Established in 1896. Crafted with tradition. Made for the outdoors.

Zen is proud to welcome Brusletto, one of Norway's most established knifemaking brands, to Australia and New Zealand as its exclusive distributor.

With a heritage spanning more than 125 years, Brusletto combines traditional craftsmanship, quality materials and practical Scandinavian design. Its knives have accompanied generations of hunters, campers, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts, earning a reputation for reliability and lasting performance.

Now, Australian and New Zealand retailers can discover this Norwegian brand through Zen's new range of 31 SKUs, from traditional hunting knives to versatile outdoor essentials.

A Norwegian Legacy Since 1896

Born in Geilo, Norway, in 1896, Brusletto began with a water-powered forge established by Rognald Brusletto. Over the following decades, the company became closely associated with Norway's outdoor traditions, developing knives designed for practical use in demanding environments.

Today, that heritage continues through selected knives handcrafted in Norway, combining traditional techniques with modern materials and generations of experience.

Knives with a Story to Tell

Every Brusletto knife brings something distinctive to the range.

The iconic Brusletto Hunter, introduced in 1963, has sold more than 1.4 million units, becoming one of Norway's best-known hunting knives.

The Brusletto Nansen draws inspiration from a knife given to Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen by the Inuit in Greenland in 1888, with his signature featured on the blade.

For anglers, the Brusletto Fiskern offers a particularly practical innovation: a flexible filleting blade paired with a cork-and-birch handle designed to float if dropped into the water.

These distinctive stories give retailers more than product specifications. They create opportunities to connect customers with the history, purpose and craftsmanship behind each knife.

Crafted for the Outdoors

Brusletto offers a versatile collection of knives and outdoor tools, combining practical functionality, thoughtful design and quality materials.

From traditional hunting and outdoor knives to compact Kongla utility knives, Kikut axes, folding saws, mushroom knives and sharpening accessories, the collection provides practical options for camping, hiking, bushcraft and everyday outdoor use.

All Brusletto products are covered by a warranty, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
